The sloping hills and open spaces make it an ideal spot to strap on the skis and get some fresh air. If you really want to get the blood pumping, go to the back part of the hill that leads down to Myrtle Avenue. This is the steepest hill in the park and the prime choice for sledding.

While it might be impossible to climb a real mountain in Brooklyn, the high climbing walls at Brooklyn Boulders will certainly let you get close to the same feeling. Climbing these sloping and jutting walls will not only challenge you physically, but mentally too. You can free-climb or use ropes, and they have climbing walls rated from easy to advanced. The facility also has acroyoga classes, fitness workshops, and a weight training room.

Located close to many short-term rentals in Brooklyn, NY, Prospect Park has just about everything a fitness enthusiast could want. The sports facilities include baseball fields, basketball courts, soccer fields, and tennis courts. Prospect Park is also home to Brooklyn's only lake, where you can rent pedal boats. On top of that, enjoy walking paths, nature trails, and horseback riding trails. In the winter, the park is a popular spot for ice skating, cross-country skiing, and sledding.
